EDI

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a computer-based-supplier communication system which has an ultimate goal of a paperless purchasing operation. EDI is the direct electronic transmission computer to computer, of standard business forms, such as purchase orders, shipping notices, invoices, and the like, between Industrial Mill and it's customer. In a purchasing environment documents are transmitted "over the wire," elimination the need to generate hard copies and to distribute them manually. By utilizing EDI, Industrial Mill and its customer can operate in a near real-time environment, which can reduce material delays by shortening procurement lead times. A properly functioning EDI system produces numerous advantages. A reduction in paperwork and related administrative requirements results in increased productivity. Accuracy of the data processed is increased and more complete and faster feedback of order status information is possible. Finally, by reducing  purchasing lead times, additional time can be spent planning and solving problems.

Fire Extinguisher Service

Industrial Mill & Maintenance's Fire Extinguisher Service Department can keep you in compliance with all state and local Fire Marshall standards. Our licensed technicians have been trained t service all brands of fire extinguishers. We can perform the following services: recharge, replace o-rings, gauges, nozzles, valves, hoses, and perform inspections. We can service portable extinguishers from 2 to 30 pounds and wheeled units up to 350 pounds. We have over 22 years of experience in the fire extinguisher field. Local pick-up and delivery is available.

Wire Rope/Sling Safety Inspection

As a distributor of wire rope and various types of slings, Industrial Mill & Maintenance Supply can provide safety inspections for each of these items. Factory authorized inspections can be performed on wire rope and chain as well as wire, nylon and chain slings. Assisting our customers in improving safety at the workplace is a service we are very proud of.

Mobile SCBA Service/Repair Center

As a service to our customers, Industrial Mill & Maintenance Supply is committed not just to selling a product, but to training our customers to use and maintain their equipment. In order to fulfill our commitment to our customers we have recently put into service a fully certified MSA Mobile Testing and Repair Center. This vehicle is equipped with the MSA Pro-Check Computer, which is specifically designed to perform Self Con-tained Breathing Apparatus flow tests. Most repairs will be performed on site, which translates into no more shipping and waiting time, as well as, no more leaving your employees without the use of their MSA SCBA units for extended periods of time.

MSA recommends air packs be functionally tested by an authorized MSA certified technician. With the addition of our new MSA Pro-Check, Industrial Mill & Maintenance Supply will test your SCBA and SAR units at your plant site. You will also be provided a computer printed test result, showing your unit number, equipment serial number and pass or fail for each unit tested. This data will allow you to maintain a written record to help keep you in compliance with OSHA regulations fro SCBA and SAR units.

Bandsaw Welding/Machine Inspection

Industrial Mill & Maintenance Supply's Bandsaw Welding Center has been in operation since 1982. The center is equipped with a Lenox Welder with an electronically controlled automatic annealer. Inventory is maintained on Lenox Matrix coil stock ranging from 1/2" - 1-1/2". We pride ourselves on having the capability of producing quality welded bandsaw blades from stock for immediate delivery to our customers.

Lenox is recognized world wide for exclusively manufacturing saw blades and related items. In addition to a quality product, they provide technical information and services directly related to the needs you may have. As a Lenox distributor, we offer the following services to our customers.

A-DedgePC

Small to mid-size firms in the industrial marketplace need to realize the benefits of Integrated Supply Automation.  A-DedgePC TM  provides a low cost solution for Electronic Remote Order Entry (ROE) and inventory management for either customer owned and managed inventory or SMI (Supplier Managed Inventory).
